Friends, this is all about http://www.mynews.in/(English) and http://www.merikhabar.com/ (Hindi). It is purely a website of the people, by the people and for the people. Every citizen is a reporter/broadcaster
for us and can contribute news/views/images/videos as freely as it is his own place
or publication. You can also participate in Debates, Forums and Polls on different issues.
The facility of Blogging is also there. Whatever you think is newsworthy around you or an issue to be raised and should be in public view and be addressed by the concerned authorities in the Government or a civic body or by the public as a whole -- come to your own news portals http://www.mynews.in/ (English) http://www.merikhabar.com/ (Hindi), get registered by making your login name and password and start writing the news stories in your own words with your own perspective.
These stories/images/videos will be made online with the by-line (address also if desired) of the sender citizen journalist. Please, upload photographs and videos with full details.
The subjects of the submissions can be defined as 'whatever you think newsworthy'. It may be accident/incident/event of any kind (educational, political, sports, spiritual, business, market, employment, bribery, fraud etc.)/apathy of authorities, leadership or public/success stories of individuals or groups/any kind of new trends in society/business/market...and anything that can make a readable item and attract the attention of people.
The print and electronic media in the country is doing as good as it can, but being a journalist for last 15 years, I do feel, we journalists as well as the media owners are biased this way or that about the things that take place in society.
This thinking, right or wrong, necessitated a platform where people by themselves can reveal the news stories that haunt them, in their own words and with their own perspective.
